Jiaxing girl wins championship in Switzerland

Xu Huiqin from Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, won the women's elite group championship with a score of 4.61 meters at a pole vault invitational tournament held in Sion, Switzerland on May 27.

The group had six participants in total. After clearing the bar at 4.41 meters high on her first try, Xu went on to successfully clear the bar at 4.51 meters. Xu then won the championship by clearing a height of 4.61 meters.

The tournament was held to test the strength of pole vaulters from around the world and encourage athletes to actively participate in training and improve their professional skills.

In August 2022, Xu won the women's pole vault championship with a score of 4.3 meters at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver Meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland. In February, she won the women's pole vault silver medal with a score of 4.55 meters at the World Athletics Indoor Tour Madrid Station.
