Bing Liu, vice-consul general of Australia in Shanghai, attended the opening ceremony of the Monto Education Garden in Yiwu on May 5.

During the ceremony, Wang Wei, vice-mayor of Yiwu, welcomed Liu and her delegation, expressing the city's commitment to providing high-quality childcare services for children under three years old as part of its social welfare initiative.

Wang said he hopes that Monto Education Garden will become a model nursery for Yiwu and Zhejiang province, leading the development of childcare environments and curriculum development for children aged three and under.

Liu praised Yiwu as the "world's small commodity capital." She noted that Australia is renowned for its education system and expressed hope that Monto Education Garden can provide high-quality childcare services for the early development of children in Yiwu.

Liu also expressed hope for more opportunities for exchanges and cooperation between Australia and Yiwu in other fields.
