The Zhejiang, Japan and South Korea High-end Manufacturing Industrial Chain Cooperation and Matchmaking Conference was held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province on March 29.

Over 200 representatives from more than 80 Chinese, Japanese and South Korean institutions and companies attended the meeting both online and in-person.

The matchmaking conference aimed to help companies that intend to explore overseas markets and integrate international resources to build a platform. It was also an investment attraction activity aimed at further expanding industrial cooperation.

Jiaxing has frequent trade exchanges with Japan and South Korea, providing a strong foundation for cooperation, and a high degree of industrial compatibility and economic complementarity.

By the end of 2022, the city was home to 1,072 Japanese and South Korean companies, with $3.57 billion in actual utilization of foreign capital. The investment projects from Japan have actually received $2.42 billion in investment, ranking first in the province in the past three years.

The China-Japan (Pinghu) Industrial Cooperation Park has become the largest hub of Japanese companies in the province, attracting leading enterprises such as Nidec Corporation, Tsugami and Zhejiang JFE Shoji Steel Products Co Ltd.

In the China-South Korea (Tongxiang) Industrial cooperation Park, Puhua New Energy Materials Co Ltd, jointly established by Huayou Cobalt Co Ltd and Pohang Iron and Steel Co Ltd, is growing rapidly.
