Authorities in East China's Zhejiang province have issued measures to promote the construction of provincial economic development zones.

Six economic development zones - the Zhejiang Lucheng Economic Development Zone, the Zhejiang Yueqing Bay Harbor Economic Development Zone, the Zhejiang Pan'an Economic Development Zone, the Quzhou Intelligent Manufacturing New City, the Zhejiang Liandu Economic Development Zone, and the Zhejiang Yunhe Economic Development Zone – have received approval to be set up.

According to the measures, Zhejiang will improve the quality of development to make the six economic development zones a new growth driver of the regional economy.

The development zones will increase efforts to attract investment and accelerate the formation of a modern industrial cluster with distinctive industrial characteristics and comprehensive supporting facilities.
