Chinese medical team celebrates the 70th anniversary of PRC founding

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and is also the 42nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Barbados.
On Sept 16, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Barbados held a reception at the Hilton Hotel to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Chinese Ambassador Yan Xiusheng and Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley addressed at the reception, fully affirming the remarkable achievements of China-Barbados cooperation in economy, trade, investment, medical care, education and cultural exchanges.

Yan fully appreciated the dedication of the third medical team during the past year, and expressed his sincere hope that the fourth medical team that has already arrived will continue to show previous teams' expertise and kindness towards Barbados' medical development.
The fourth medical team arrived at Barbados on Sept 10 and completed the handover with the 3rd medical team.
The team will continue to work at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and conduct exchanges on anesthesia, intracardiac intervention, orthopedic trauma, ultrasonic imaging, kidney internal medicine dialysis, acupuncture, operating room nursing and neonatal nursing.
More than 350 representatives attended the event, including the Governor-General of Barbados Sandra Prunella Mason and Chief Justice Hon. Sir Marston Gibson, as well as Cabinet ministers, members of parliament, government officials, ambassadors to Barbados and representatives of Chinese enterprises and the Overseas Chinese Association.
