Located in the core area of Chongqing Liang Jiang New Area, Chongqing Yubei District People's Hospital, with a history of 79 years, has become a comprehensive 2A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, health care and rehabilitation, and a 3A hospital under construction.

The hospital established the Yubei District Telemedicine Center with the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, and established the Yubei Integrated Medical Center with Xijing Hospital of Digestive Diseases. On October 27, 2017, it was officially listed as "The Yubei Branch of the First Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University".

The hospital has 32 clinical departments, 8 medical technology departments, and 20 administrative functional departments. It has 3 municipal specialties (digestive medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedics), 3 municipal key clinical specialties (medical laboratory, digestive medicine, neurology), and 1 municipal regional key medical discipline (pediatrics). Located beside the Central Park, the new branch covers an area of 154 mu. The first phase of the project, with investment of about 1.2 billion yuan, has a construction area of about 170,000 square meters and 1,490 beds, and is expected to be completed and put into use in 2019.
