The Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University (Chongqing Stomatological Hospital; School of Stomatology, Chongqing Medical University) is a national 3A stomatological hospital specializing in medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and first aid. It has two branches: Northern Branch and Shangqing Temple Branch; three outpatient departments: Sha'nan Street Clinic, University City Clinic and the Third Hospital Clinic.

There are 13 clinical departments including endodontics, periodontology and oral mucosal disease departments, two special outpatient clinics including complete denture and temporomandibular joint clinics, medical technology departments including laboratory and radiology departments, and 13 administrative departments. The hospital has set up 100 beds and 500 dental comprehensive treatment chairs. The comprehensive stomatological medical service takes the leading position domestically.

The discipline of stomatology of Chongqing Medical University is a first-level discipline, and the municipal key discipline of the "13th Five-Year Plan". Besides, the school also provides doctorate program in stomatology, and the Stomatological Experimental Teaching Center has been approved as a national experimental teaching demonstration center. At the same time, the Stomatological Hospital of Chongqing Medical University is a base for practice skill test and examiner training of the national medical license examination (stomatological category), a national drug clinical trial institution, and one of the national-level standardized training bases for resident doctors first approved by National Health and Family Planning Commission; The Department of Orthodontics is a "National Key Clinical Specialty Construction Unit", and the Chongqing Stomatological Quality Control Center is affiliated to the hospital. 

The stomatology courses offered by the School of Stomatology are a specialty of Chongqing. The undergraduate students who have taken the courses won the second prize and the individual excellence awards in the International Skills Competition of Dental Medicine Undergraduates held in West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University for two consecutive years. They have also won the Special Award, the Second Prize, and the Best Film Award for college students' summer social practice issued by Chinese Stomatological Association for three consecutive years; the third prize and excellent prize in the 2017 Science Popularization Competition of the Chinese Stomatological Association; eight national-level awards, 16 municipal-level awards, 25 school-level awards, and a national-level utility model patent. In 2001, the school began to recruit graduate students.  

The hospital has several subsidiary bodies, including the "Chongqing Key Laboratory for Oral Diseases and Biomedical Sciences", "Chongqing Stomatology Clinical Medical Research Center", "Chongqing Key Laboratory for Oral Biomedical Engineering" and "Chongqing Postdoctoral Scientific Research Station". The laboratories had in-depth exchanges and cooperation with the School of Dentistry of University of Lowa in research cooperation and personnel training. Besides, it employed 12 well-known professors from the United States, France, Japan, Canada and other countries as visiting professors, who regularly visited the laboratories to provide guidance. 

In the past three years, 16 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and 33 provincial and ministerial research projects were approved; 311 articles were published (128 SCI articles); one second prize and one third prize of Chongqing Science and Technology Progress Award, and one first prize and one second prize of the Medical Science and Technology Achievement Award of Chongqing Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission were awarded. Besides, the hospital has participated in the editing of 15 monographs, and has obtained six patents. The hospital ranked No 12 in the China Hospital Science and Technology Influence Ranking released by the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences in 2016 and 2017. In addition, the hospital ranked 92nd in the Nature Index 2017 China tables.
