Chongqing Emergency Medical Center
Founded in 1939, Chongqing Emergency Medical Center, also called the Fourth People's Hospital of Chongqing and Central Hospital of Chongqing University, was formerly known as Zhongzheng Hospital. It is a large-scale comprehensive 3A hospital integrating emergency treatment, medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and prevention, a hospital of the SOS International, a hospital responsible for dispatching national (Chongqing) emergency medical rescue teams, a national standardized training base for resident doctors, a national clinical pharmacist training base, a national standardized rescue training base for severe trauma, a national chest pain center, a national advanced center for stroke, a member of China Trauma Rescue and Treatment Association, and the leading unit of Chongqing Aviation Rescue System.
It has 36 clinical and medical technology departments and 46 specialized disease clinics. Among them, "Emergency Medicine" is a national key clinical specialty, "Traumatic Surgery" and "Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine" are municipal key medical specialties, "Intensive Care Medicine", "Cardiovascular Medicine", "Orthopaedic", "Neurological Surgery", "Clinical Nursing" and "Neurology" are municipal key clinical specialties. "Nerve Injury and Critical Illness" is a municipal medical specialty.
