Director Huang presents the first China-PNG forum on progress in minimally invasive urological surgery

The first China-PNG forum on progress in minimally invasive urological surgery was held at the University of Papua New Guinea on March 23.
Speeches were delivered by Huang Minghui, Party secretary and director of the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission, Nakapi Tefuarani, president of the UNPG School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Molumi, director of the Medical Services of the Port Moresby General Hospital, and Liko, president of the Medical Society of PNG.
Huang said that the forum was a major step in implementing the China-PNG Cooperation Agreement on Hospital Pairing Assistance and an integral part of the construction project of the minimally invasive surgery center between the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and the PMGH. The success of the forum is certain to further enhance exchanges and cooperation in minimally invasive urology and inject new vitality into the health care cooperation between China and PNG.
The Chinese government has to date donated 5.3 million yuan worth of minimally invasive surgical equipment to the PMGH.
In order to help build the center, four doctors from the PMGH will be invited to Chongqing for a six-month specialist clinical study.
The Chongqing Municipal Health Commission is ready to keep intensifying exchanges and cooperation with PNG in the medical and health fields, maintaining the friendship between the Chinese government and people and those of PNG.
More than 150 medical staff of the PMGH as well as teachers and students of the UNPG School of Medicine & Health Sciences attended the forum.
