Zhuhai, known as the "city of youth and vigor," is currently showcasing its charm at the ongoing 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).

The five-day event kicked off in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on June 7, attracting more than 300 overseas exhibitors from around 50 countries and regions to display their latest cultural products.

This year's event marks the 14th time that all 31 domestic provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities have sent delegations to participate, along with delegations from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

Zhuhai has participated in every session of this grand event, and this year, the city has set up a 231-square-meter (2,486-sq-ft) exhibition area that features live streams and cutting-edge naked-eye 3D, AR, and VR technologies.

The overall layout of the exhibition area applies an H-style design, which comes from Zhuhai's city logo. Its front desk features dynamic blue arcs, representing the city's stretching coastline.

Upon entering Zhuhai's exhibition area, visitors will encounter a photo wall on the left, where highlights of Zhuhai major events are on display, including the China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) and Zhuhai Fashion Week.

In the virtual live stream rooms, set up by Zhuhai 4DAGE, visitors will be able to enter virtual scenes of the Longmen Grottoes and the Shanghai History Museum via a four-dimensional green screen virtual system. Shen Ming, deputy general manager of Zhuhai 4DAGE, said that the VR and AR technologies can create virtual scenes that are very realistic, allowing visitors to have an elevated immersive experience.

Zhuhai 4DAGE established the first 3D digital reconstruction technology center in China, which has served more than 100 major construction projects at home and abroad. The enterprise now provides digital services to domestic provincial and municipal museums in areas of digital protection of cultural relics, scene VR collections, and intelligent exhibition programs.

Ice Age (Guangdong) Culture and Art was established in 2006 and moved to Zhuhai in 2017. It is the first enterprise in China to acquire the right to import and export mammoth ivory. Guo Yifeng, of Ice Age, expressed that exhibition visitors can learn more about how it uses mammoth ivory to replace modern ivory as a raw material for ivory carving. They can also get a closer look at the company's ivory carving technique, an intangible cultural heritage item.

The Zhuhai Traditional Chinese Orchestra was also invited to stage original folk music pieces in Zhuhai's exhibition area, showcasing Guangdong's rich traditional music.

Deng Xingyun, of the Zhuhai Cultural Industry Association, noted that Zhuhai's excellent cultural enterprises are expected to promote their products at the ICIF, which will allow Zhuhai's cultural products and services to better serve more people.
