The Tangjiawan-based Zhuhai Orbita Aerospace Science & Technology was established in March 2000.

A satellite imaging and aerospace electronics company, it is the first integrated circuit design enterprise in China to be listed on the Growth Enterprise Market, a board on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Also known as Orbita Aerospace, the enterprise develops semiconductors and purpose-built systems on a chip, as well as software for use in imaging satellites. Its Zhuhai-1 remote sensing micro and nanosatellite constellation is the first constructed and operated by a listed private company in China.

The enterprise is mainly engaged in the areas of aerospace electronics, artificial intelligence technology, micro and nano satellite constellations, satellite big data, intelligent surveying, and mapping technology.

It serves the fields of aerospace, industrial controls, geographic information, land resources, and agriculture, as well as the forestry, husbandry, and fisheries sectors. 

It also caters to the domains of environmental protection, transportation, the smart city, digital government, modern finance, and personal consumption.

The company's facility covers a total area of 50,500 square meters (12.5 acres) and a floorage of 92,000 sqm (22.7 acres). It has received advanced technology support from teams led by 11 academicians and it has cultivated five postdoctoral researchers.

By the end of 2022, the enterprise had acquired 1,010 intelligent property rights.
