Hengqin holds cultural tourism activities during holiday
A multitude of cultural tourism events has been arranged in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin for the upcoming five-day May Day holiday, which runs from April 29 to May 3.
The Chimelong International Ocean Resort in Hengqin has now kicked off its Super Jellyfish Festival which will run until June 16. Hundreds of rare deep-sea jellyfish are now on exhibition, and the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom's night parade has added elements of jellyfish to create a dreamy travel experience.

Public lessons will be opened by Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Group near Rest Station No 5 at the Hengqin Flower Corridor. The lessons will be held on April 30 and May 1, and will focus on topics such as plants and cultivation, outdoor discovery, and making environmental-friendly instruments.
Seasonal flowers such as large zinnias, gnome pinks, spider flowers, and maidenhair have been chosen to form red and yellow floral displays at the Hengqin Flower Corridor and alongside the Tianmu River, adding vibrancy to the holiday.
Cushahuan Ancient Tree Park, which was renovated from barren land, has several functional areas for scientific knowledge popularization, including wooden plank roads and pavilions. It has utilized trees that were blown down by typhoons to make wood clip decorations and benches. The park provides a green space for nearby residents to enjoy their leisure time and learn more about nature.
Erjing Bay Wetland Park has opened free nature classes to the public in Hengqin. Five topics are covered, namely mangrove ecosystems, wetland ecosystems, insects, birds, and otters. Introduction billboards, pavilions for bird watching, insect boxes, and grassland classrooms will also be set up to showcase the park's animal and plant resources to people, especially the youth.
The ALOHA Starlight Summer Carnival has already met the public at Sumlodol Hengqin Camping Town through June 11. Themed fairs, ukulele concerts, beach volleyball competitions, and several DIY events are available.
In addition, an installation art exhibition named Magical Plant Island, created by the British Artist Sam Wilde, will run from April 29 to May 3 at Legend Pondo Square, while those who are interested in texture painting can go to Hengqin Jinyuan International Plaza at 3 pm on April 29.
A family-friendly event allowing children to dress up as policemen, firefighters, and doctors will be held from April 29 to May 3 at Hengqin Novotown.
Measures have been taken by Hengqin to offer more convenient public services to tourists, boosting the local development of its cultural tourism industry.
Twelve new energy public charging stations will be put into operation on April 29 in crowded areas such as Hengqin Town and Aiqin Road. By then, Hengqin will have 13 public new energy charging stations, meeting the charging demands of large, medium, and small-sized new energy vehicles.
The second unmanned driving testing route will open this year in Hengqin's north area, covering Qinhai North, Qinhai West, Huandao North, Tianyu, and Aiqin roads. Residents will then be able to make reservations for free rides on the WeChat mini-program "轻舟出行" (Qcraft).
