Jinwan industry 5.0 space to begin partial operation ahead of May
The north area of the Gechuang Yungu industrial park, in Zhuhai's Jinwan District, recently welcomed the first batch of production equipment, and is now undergoing interior decoration processes.
With a floorage of 227,300 square meters (8,986 sq rds), the north area of the park has been booked by Shenzhen Fenda Technology since December 2022. According to the agreement with the constructor Gree Group, the enterprise will invest 2 billion yuan ($290 million) to build an industrial base for new-generation intelligent hardware.
Fenda Technology is a domestically leading provider of new intelligent hardware and integrated solutions. It has already set up production bases in Shenzhen and Dongguan.
Its new base in Jinwan will focus on producing intelligent products and will achieve an annual output value of 5 billion yuan ($725 million) within three years of operation, while also creating more than 6,000 job opportunities.

Guo Xuesong, the person in charge of Fenda Technology's base, said that the dormitories and factories are undergoing interior decoration, and that the base's first production line will start operation before May.
Guo noted that Zhuhai's geographic location stands out among other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and that Gree Group has assigned professional staff members to provide all-rounded "nanny" services for the newly-settled enterprises in the park. It should also be noted that Fenda Technology is saving a considerable amount in operations cost, as its rent in the north area of the park is markedly lower than anywhere else.
The overall design of the factories in the industrial park will bring much convenience to enterprises, according to Guo. The height of the factories' first floor is over 8 meters (26 ft), which makes it possible to build lights-out factories, where requirements for human activity are so minimal that the facility can operate in the dark with zero onsite human intervention.
A dormitory building featuring both single and twin rooms with completed living facilities is available for staff members and will be able to accommodate over 1,800 people. An additional dormitory that can hold more than 2,000 people has completed its planning phase and is currently under construction nearby.
Xie Yuping, CEO of Fenda Technology, expressed the hope that the company will achieve close cooperation with State-owned enterprises in Zhuhai to make more contributions to Jinwan's industrial development.
