Zhuhai Fashion Week opens with 5-day shows, exhibitions
High-end global fashion brands and heavyweight designers have gathered at Zhuhai Opera House for the five-day 2022 Zhuhai Fashion Week. The shows begin today and will last through Dec 13, showcasing the unique charm of Zhuhai as a fashion-forward city.
The Zhuhai Fashion Week will give priority to companies and onlookers alike to showcase and cultivate the diversified fashion culture in China. Events such as runway shows and exhibitions will be held.
Zhuhai has been promoting the development of its cultural, art, and fashion industries, striving to become a regional cultural art hub known for its fashion culture.

The China (Zhuhai) Fashion Design Innovation Platform and China (Zhuhai) Fashion Trend Releasing Center unveiled their plaques during the opening ceremony, making Zhuhai the first city in China to become both a national fashion platform and a national fashion center. The two units are expected to contribute to Zhuhai's growth and development as a major player in the fashion industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The 2022 China Fashion Industrial Design Conference will take place during the event, inviting professional experts from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao to carry out in-depth discussions on industrial design innovation. It is expected that Zhuhai Fashion Week will bring in multiple cooperation agreement deals.
The 2023/2024 China Fashion Womenswear Fall/Winter Show will be the opening show of this year's Zhuhai Fashion Week. It will be held in the front square of the Zhuhai Opera House on Yeli Island and is the first and only professional release of its kind in the country, making Zhuhai a frontier of China's fashion trend.
Other shows will feature the integration of intangible cultural heritage items and modern fashion trends, and the top 10 best designers of 2022 in the Greater Bay Area.
Seven influential independent designers have been invited to showcase more than 300 clothing pieces that were inspired by Zhuhai's city features.
In addition, more than 100 exhibits by 12 domestic industrial design enterprises and a specialized university have been selected to be displayed at the City Balcony. These exhibits cover various topics like intangible cultural heritage, nature, lifestyle, health, and industry. These immersive exhibitions will highlight Zhuhai's power in industrial design.
