Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel set to operate in 2023
The Lingjiaozui Curve Tunnel in Jida was drilled through on Nov 28 and is expected to start operations in 2023.
The 980-m (1,072-yd) project runs from Haibin Park in the north to the parking lot entrance of the Haibin Beach (City Parlor) Service Center in the south. Its two-way four-lane tunnel stretches 340 meters (372 yds).

Upon operation, it will increase the traffic efficiency of the Lingjiaozui Curve section of Middle Lovers Avenue, allowing motorists to pass the peninsula hairpin curve in three minutes and separating sightseeing and commuting vehicles on Middle Lovers Avenue.
Construction of the tunnel's internal structure and supporting facilities as well as installation of mechanical and electrical equipment will be carried out later.
