The main line starts from Zaobei Interchange in Xiangzhou and goes east through Zhongshan's Tanzhou Town and Zhuhai's Doumen District before ending at Huxin Road. It will connect with the Guangzhou-Foshan-Jiangmen-Zhuhai and Guangzhou-Zhuhai West expressways, as well as the Zhongshan West Outer Ring.
Its feeder line extends from the Tanzhou Hub of the Guangdong Western Coastal Expressway and runs south with viaducts of the National Expressway G105 (Gudu Avenue) to Meihua Interchange, before going towards Zhongshan via the Renmin Road and Zaobei interchanges.
The main line of the dual six-lane bridge has a maximum speed limit of 100 kmph (62 mph) while that of the bridge's feeder line is set at 80 kmph (50 mph). Xiangzhou motorists can reach Doumen in only 15 minutes.
Drivers will pay 0.60 yuan (9 cents) for every km to cross the 9.65-km (6-mile) toll section of the bridge after Nov 13.
