Cooperation between Zhuhai, HK airports to begin in 2023
The cooperation program between Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport and Hong Kong International Airport will begin in the second quarter of 2023, officials of the Zhuhai Transport Bureau announced on Nov 1.
More outbound passengers from inland cities are expected to be attracted to Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, where they can take international flights at Hong Kong International Airport after a quick transit via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB). Meanwhile, inbound passengers will be able to reach domestic destinations after transiting from Hong Kong International Airport via the HZMB to Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport.

Officials of the Zhuhai Transport Bureau said that Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport will be built into a comprehensive regional hub airport and that its renovation and expansion project is currently underway. Construction of the Zhuhai Airport International Intelligent Logistics Park and Zhuhai Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub is also speeding up.
In addition, Zhuhai will enhance cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao in aviation logistics, as well as take an active part in carrying out matchmaking with relevant departments of Hong Kong and Macao airports.
