More than 30 high-quality performances by nearly 20 art troupes will be held during the upcoming 2nd Zhuhai Art Festival, which will run from Oct 28 to Nov 28.

This year's event is organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee and Zhuhai Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism & Sports Bureau.

Dramas, operas, dance shows, concerts, and children's plays by renowned art troupes like the National Theatre of China, National Ballet of China, as well as Guangdong Cantonese Opera Theatre will bring fresh cultural experiences to audiences across Zhuhai. Highlights include the opera Grand Mansion Gate, classic ballet Swan Lake, and interactive opera Chinese Lesson.

Tickets for performances by local Zhuhai art troupes will be sold at public welfare fares, while other performances will provide tickets at low prices of 28 yuan ($4), 48 yuan ($7), 66 yuan ($9), and 88 yuan ($12). 

A staff member of the event's sponsor noted that it was the art festival's fundamental purpose and goal to apply a people-centered development philosophy, providing Zhuhai residents easy access to excellent art performances with cheaper prices.

In addition to the main venues of the Zhuhai Opera House and Huafa & CPAA Grand Theater, citywide cultural venues and relevant landmarks, including Zhuhai Library, Zhuhai Museum, and Jinwan District Library, will host a series of activities like art exhibitions and cultural salons, aiming to expand the influence of this year's event.
