Planning permission for Area B of Gechuang Zhifu Industrial Park on Intelligent Electrical Appliance Manufacturing in Doumen has been recently granted by the Zhuhai Natural Resources Bureau.

The project, constructed by Zhuhai Gree Group, is located west of Leizhu Avenue, south of Xinggang Road and north of Fugang Road in Fushan Industrial Park. It is designed to be a manufacturing base for advanced equipment in Guangdong Province and modern logistics base on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary.

The park plans to formulate a "1+2+N" industrial pattern, which focuses on the new generation information industrial cluster that produces electronic information core components and manufactures and assembles intelligent equipment.

Boosting total investment of 2.61 billion yuan ($370.7 million) from Gree Group, the project consists of areas A and B and will have floorage of 624,000 sqm (154 acres).

The project will be developed into a high-standard industry 5.0 space, containing 840 apartment units, canteens, entertainment venues, and industrial service centers in addition to 13 diverse factories.

Six garden systems, including a central landscape garden, roof gardens on the parking buildings, and sidewalk greening, will be built to create a vital garden-style industrial park.

Recently, Area A's 1,500-pile foundation was completed, and main factory structure construction is expected to begin in October. By the end of 2022, factories of 200,000 sqm (49 acres) are expected to complete construction, and the entire project is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2023.

Seven enterprises have shown interest in settling in the park, which would provide more than 2,500 job opportunities once the park is operational.
