The Zhuhai Municipal People's Government signed an agreement with Guangdong TCM Hospital in October 2020 to jointly launch the upgrade and transformation project to increase the Zhuhai branch's TCM service capacity.
The project is being carried out in two phases. Phase I of the project started in October 2021, focusing on the renovation of outpatient and inpatient buildings.
Zhang Chen, vice mayor of Zhuhai, said that the Guangdong TCM Hospital and Zhuhai will aim to turn the Zhuhai branch into a comprehensive TCM medical center on the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary, as well as a hub for high-quality TCM services and traditional Chinese & Western medicine integration.
Zhang Zhongde, president of Guangdong TCM Hospital, expressed hope that the project's construction can move ahead smoothly under Zhuhai's support, which will contribute to the improvement of Zhuhai hospital's comprehensive service capacity, bolster its TCM's characteristic advantages, boost talent attraction and regional influence, and improve people's medical experiences.
