The factories of the Jiyuan Aquatic Shared Industrial Chain Platform in Doumen Eco-Agriculture Park were capped on July 25, marking a phased achievement in the project's construction, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of October.

The 11-mu (1.8-acre) project has floorage of 18,000 sqm (4.5 acres) and is being constructed by Guangdong Jiyuan Industry. It aims to become a high-quality comprehensive processing platform.

Xie Zuming, general manager of Zhuhai Jiyuan Aquatic Technology, spoke highly of Doumen's excellent business environment as the project only took nine months to finish main structure construction. 

The project is a leading one in Baijiao Modern Cold-chain Logistics Park and will include a production center integrating industrial tourism, aquatic processing, cold-chain logistics, and sci-tech research functions. When it begins operations at the end of 2022, the project is estimated to generate annual output value of over 500 million yuan ($74 million).

It will focus on the production of prefabricated food related to Baijiao Sea Bass and is projected to increase Zhuhai Jiyuan Aquatic Technology's daily production capacity to 200 metric tons. 

Of note, Baijiao Modern Cold-chain Logistics Park is the Phase I of the Doumen Prefabricated Food Industrial Park project. The industrial park was rated as a provincial modern agricultural industrial park in June and will commence operations this year.

Phase I of the industrial park will focus on prefabricated food processing and cold-chain logistics, while the second and third phases will focus on other industrial chain processes like the packaging and warehousing of prefabricated food.
