Free play areas for pets now available in Zhuhai
A special play area for pets, spanning over 700 sqm (.2 acres) and circled by bamboo fences, on West Meihua Road in Xiangzhou District is now open for residents with pets.
Two more play areas of this kind are available in Xiangzhou District, located near Lovers Avenue and the Qianshan River, while two have been built in both Doumen District and Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. More pet parks are also being planned in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Xiangzhou and Jinwan districts.

A police officer surnamed Ye of the municipal Public Security Bureau said that the pet parks provide a public area for nearby residents with pets to gather, as well as guide people to raise pets in an orderly way.
The parks are now open from 7 am to 10 pm every day. Pet owners are required to have their dogs on a leash, and show relevant ID cards and vaccination certificates of their pets before entering the area. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people should also hold a green Yuekang Code before entering.
