Gree, Ninestar among Guangdong's top 100 private enterprises
Gree Electric Appliances and Ninestar made the 2021 Guangdong's Top 100 Private Enterprises list that was released on June 8, ranking 7th and 70th respectively.
Zhuhai manufacturing giant Gree Electric Appliances has now grown into a global and diversified sci-tech industrial manufacturing group. Its products, mainly covering household consumer goods and industrial equipment, are widely sold in more than 160 countries and regions.
Founded in 2000, Ninestar now ranks fourth among the world's laser printer manufacturers. Its products span laser printers and supporting consumables, integrated circuit chips, printer core parts, as well as general consumables. It owns nearly 4,700 independent research and development patents, including over 3,300 invention patents.

Made by the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, the list was based on enterprises' applications and their operating revenue in 2020. An official of the federation noted that the threshold for entering this year's list was over 12.06 billion yuan ($1.8 billion) in corporate annual operating revenue, an increase of 8.26 percent from last year.
Of note, five entrees recorded annual operating revenue of more than 400 billion yuan ($59.79 billion) in 2020, that of 14 enterprises was over 100 billion yuan ($14.95 billion), and that of 69 enterprises was over 20 billion yuan ($2.99 billion).
In addition, entrants of the list are mainly engaged in the manufacturing, wholesale and retail, as well as real estate industries. Among them are 40 manufacturing, 15 wholesale and retail, and 14 real estate enterprises.
