Bing Dwen Dwen designer to create new Airshow China mascot
The design group from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA) behind Bing Dwen Dwen, the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics mascot, will create a brand-new image for the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China).
Zhuhai Airshow Co signed a contract with the design group on June 1 to launch cultural creative products with both Airshow China elements and collection value.

Sun Jiefeng, president of Zhuhai Airshow Co, said that products from previous events, such as model planes, commemorative badges, and stamp albums, were well received by consumers. He added that a new mascot for the airshow will better meet the audience's needs, upgrade its cultural and creative image, and promote the leapfrog development of the Airshow China brand.
Liu Pingyun, vice-president of the GAFA's School of Visual Communication and Media Design, as well as chief design executive of Bing Dwen Dwen, said that Zhuhai elements will be integrated into the new mascot's design.
The 2022 Airshow China is scheduled to take place at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center in Jinwan from Nov 8 to 13. More than 500 enterprises from countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Brazil, and Australia have confirmed their attendance, with 88 percent of the indoor exhibition areas already booked.
Outstanding aerobatic flights and various land equipment will be showcased at the on-site venue, while an online exhibition this year will boast more content.
