A new high-end biomedicine industrial carrier will rise in Jinwan District to support the city's "industry first" development strategy as Zhuhai Jinqin Big Health won the bid for a 148,192-sq-m (36.6-acre) land lot in Sanzao Town on May 17.

With investment of 1.5 billion yuan ($221.9 million), the Jinqin Health Harbor will be built into a high-end international comprehensive carrier for biomedicine and medical devices. Located west of Shengli Road and north of First Dingwan Road, the project will include a base for the accelerated industrialization of biomedicine and medical devices in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The health harbor is expected to become a benchmark industrial park in Zhuhai, with a focus on finance and industry cooperation. High-quality enterprises and supporting companies will be introduced to formulate a biomedicine industrial cluster spanning R&D, manufacturing, trade, and modern services, supporting Zhuhai's efforts to construct a new allocation center for global biomedicine and medical device resources.

With registered capital of 100 million yuan ($15 million), Zhuhai Jinqin Big Health was jointly established on April 20 by State-owned Zhuhai Jinhang Industrial Investment and Hengqin Financial Investment. It mainly focuses on the construction and operation of specialized industrial parks focusing on medical and health care, and will also serve the full-cycle development of biomedical enterprises.
