Guangdong, Macao, HK youths seek opportunities in Hengqin
Young talents from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao explored future development opportunities in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin during a May 17 seminar held at the Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley.
The accelerated construction of Hengqin can provide high-quality development platforms for youths in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. Conversely, young talents are urgently needed during the construction of Hengqin and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, said Professor Pang Chuan, vice president of Macau University of Science and Technology, chairman of the MUST Alumni Federation, as well as host of the seminar.

Pang added that MUST will give full play to its advantages in cultivating outstanding talents, promoting the transformation of sci-tech achievements, and serving socioeconomic development. The university will also grasp development opportunities brought by Hengqin's construction along with industrial partners and young talents and make greater contributions to the diversified development of Macao's economy.
Liu Chengkun, director of MUST's Institute of Sustainable Development, delivered a speech focusing on the industrial and talent layout in Hengqin during the event. Then youth representatives from the three regions carried out in-depth discussions related to the pressing issues of Guangdong-Macao financial innovation, as well as its industrial upgrading and transformation efforts. An on-site visit to the Zhuhai MUST Science & Technology Research Institute at Hengqin-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship Valley was also arranged.
The MUST Alumni Federation has been dedicated to strengthening connections between the university and its alumnus since its establishment in 2006. It has set up branches in cities including Macao, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
