Gaolan Port offers faster route to foreign trade companies
The container barge Xing Hang 328 departed from Gaolan Port for Hong Kong on April 18, marking the start of the ports' daily operation of its foreign trade barge route to Hong Kong and Macao, which will provide more efficient and economical marine transportation services for Zhuhai foreign trade enterprises.
Three local logistics enterprises are offering three barges, with a transport capacity of 120 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs), for the route. Problems like insufficient shipping routes and an unstable operation schedule, which had greatly affected transport efficiency, have hence been solved.

Gaolan customs is providing follow-up services and guidance to ensure cargo clearance efficiency for barges on this route. In addition, the vessels will be given priorities in docking, loading and unloading, as well as departure services.
A staff member of Gaolan Port noted that the daily operation of the route will increase foreign trade enterprises' import and export logistics efficiency, as well as reduce their logistics cost. The port will further optimize the route's operation and complete supporting services to ensure operation quality.
