Zhuhai Egret Base in Jinwan, Hengqin National Geographic Ultimate Explorer, and Jinwan Damenkou Wetland Park were included on the 2021 List of Guangdong Environmental Education Bases earlier this month, increasing the total number of such bases in Zhuhai to 12.

Qualified places in Zhuhai were recommended by the Zhuhai Ecological Environment Bureau to the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province after undergoing on-site primary examinations.

The other nine sites that have been previously recognized by the province include Zhuhai Museum in Old Xiangzhou, Zhuhai International Maritime Cultural Center in Jida, Doumen's Zhuhai Xinhuan Environment Co, By-Health Biotechnology in Jinwan, as well as the Gongbei and Qianshan water purification plants.

Of note, Zhuhai Egret Base in Sanban Village of Hongqi Town is only open on workdays, while visitors need to purchase tickets for entrance to the Hengqin National Geographic Ultimate Explorer in Novotown, although several ticket-free days are available.
