People interested in China's first supersize amphibious aircraft, the AG600, are now able to visit the production base of China Aviation Industry General Aircraft (CAIGA) South China in Jinwan free of charge and learn more about the aircraft's R&D stories.

The production base near Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport was listed as one of the 111 patriotism education bases in June 2021. An online reservation platform opened March 4 for groups with 15 to 50 members apart from third party organizations, including intermediaries, training institutions, and tour groups.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation, the base is able to receive up to three group reservations per day, with the time for a tour being around one hour. It is open from 9 am to 12 pm and 1:30 to 5 pm from Tuesdays to Sundays.

Code-named Kunlong, the AG600 is China's first independently developed amphibious aircraft, as well as the world's largest of its kind. It is known as one of the "Three Musketeers" in China-made aircrafts, along with the Yun-20 and C919.

Group leaders can follow CAIGA South China's official WeChat account: AG600aircraft (“航空工业通飞华南”) to register reservation information and submit anti-COVID-19 pandemic materials.
