Qingmao Checkpoint ranks second nationally in passenger flow
Total passenger volume of Qingmao Checkpoint exceeded 5 million on March 5, only five months after it began operation in Nov 2021, ranking second nationally in cross-border passenger flow.
The average monthly passenger flow of the checkpoint at the Canal de Patos on the border of Zhuhai's Maoshengwei and Macao's Ilha Verde was maintained at nearly 1 million despite the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Passengers are able to pass customs clearance in 20 seconds with the implementation of the "Joint Inspection & One-Time Release" system. Dedicated staffed channels are also open for schoolchildren and the disabled.
In addition, the new Guangdong-Macao Channel provides on-site information collection and filing services for passengers so that they can assess self-service border-crossing, while an emergency channel is available that gives priority to those with special requirements, such as patients in urgent need of medical treatment.
Qingmao Checkpoint will continue to cope with adjustments in the joint COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control measures between Guangdong and Macao, as well as upgrade its overall service capacity to ensure safe, efficient, and smooth operation.
