Zhuhai will stage a series of cultural events featuring outstanding works in music, dance, drama, film, television, and photography for residents in celebration of the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, which runs from Jan 31 to Feb 6.

The 2022 Zhuhai Traditional Opera Gala will air on Zhuhai Television Station, the iTouchTV app, and Guanhai app on Jan 30. Masters like Ni Huiying, Ding Fan, Ou Kaiming, and Zeng Xiaomin will bring classic Cantonese and Peking operas to viewers, showcasing the charm of traditional Chinese art forms. The gala was recorded prior to the city's recent COVID-19 outbreak.

Ten online exhibitions and performances will display Zhuhai's latest development outcomes in culture and arts, as well as achievements in Zhuhai-Macao cultural exchanges and cooperation on platforms such as Zhuhai TV and the Guanhai app. 

They include a photography exhibition on the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, appreciation of classic new-woodblock printmaker Gu Yuan's artistic creations, broadcasting of Zhuhai original documentaries and musical pieces, and the 2022 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth New Year Concert.

In addition, 100 outstanding poetry and prose pieces, 100 calligraphy and art works, as well as 100 photography works by Zhuhai literary and art workers will debut on Zhuhai Daily, Zhuhai TV, Zhuhai Radio, and the Guanhai app. They will tell touching stories from the city's fight against COVID-19. 

More than 8,000 pairs of Spring Festival couplets written by Zhuhai calligraphers will reach local residents, frontline medical staff members, and volunteers before Feb 1.

Zhuhai Library will also provide 35 kinds of e-resources and 1.2 million e-books for free online browsing. It has also donated books for people under centralized quarantine, of which 3,000 books have already been distributed.
