Preparations are being made to construct Jinxi Avenue from the Huitong area of Jinding Town to Sanxi Technology & Innovation Town in Shangchong, New Xiangzhou. Xiangshan Avenue is also planned to run northwest out of town from North Yingbin Road.

The first phase of Jinxi Avenue in the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) is in early-stage preparations. A pre-approval notice of the Natural Resources Bureau proposes a 1.7-km (1.1-mile) two-way six-lane section from Jinhuan Road near the future University Town. The designed speed limit is 60 kmph (38 mph) and it would cut travel time to 15 minutes.

Formerly titled Guyuan Avenue, the project has long been proposed. Also supporting development of the Sanxi area, the Santaishi Road extension line, and West Meijie, Central Meijie, Qingsong, and First Proposed roads are now under construction. The network will relieve traffic on National Expressway G105 (Gudu Avenue) during rush hours and better serve Sanxi Technology & Innovation Town.

In addition, preliminary planning for Xiangshan Avenue is progressing. An arterial road leading northwest out of town, it will connect North Yingbin Road with Jinqin Express Road and G105.
