Zhuhai has 174 enterprises displaying 18,789 high-quality products both on the grounds and in the "cloud" of the 130th China Import & Export Fair (Canton Fair) while 6,299 city companies have signed on as purchasers.

This year's event opened Friday and runs through Oct 19. The Zhuhai enterprises appear in 578 online booths while 64 have 169 spots at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Haizhu District of Guangzhou. Gree Electric Appliances, Jinpin Electrical, and China Electronics Zhuhai are among 15 brand companies in 100 of the Zhuhai booths.

Among the Zhuhai exhibitors, 111 (64 percent) of the foreign trade enterprises are producers and 63 (36 percent) are distributors. The companies have scheduled 800 livestreams to promote themselves and their products globally.

Zhuhai's total foreign trade volume climbed by 32.1 percent year-on-year to 220.6 billion yuan ($34.3 billion) during the January-August period, a growth rate 8.4 percentage points higher than the national level. High-quality development of the foreign trade sector has become a major driving force of the city's economic growth.

The world's largest physical exhibition even under the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Canton Fair has an offline exhibition area of 400,000 sq m (99 acres) and 60,000 online booths across 51 exhibition areas for 26,000 enterprises and global buyers on the virtual event.
