Scores of Macao stalls to cook up delicacies in Hengqin
The Macao International Cultural & Food Festival will once again bring hundreds of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area culinary delicacies to Hengqin during the Oct 1-7 National Day holiday.
More than 120 stalls will be set up at Legend Ponto Square across from Hengqin Checkpoint. In addition to Zhuhai and Shunde delicacies, there will be Macao catering and souvenir brands like October 5th Bakery, C'est Si Bon, Wang Kei Pork Chop Bun, and Gao Xing Red Bean Cake.

The Oct 5 finals of the Hengqin & Macao Singing Competition will accompany the food fest at the square.
Ma Zhida, chairman of the sponsor, We Park (Hengqin) Development, wants the event to showcase achievements of Guangdong-Macao in-depth cooperation to Golden Week travelers from across the country. In addition, We Park and the Youth Committee of the Macao Chamber of Commerce and Hengqin-Macao Youth Entrepreneurship & Employment Association will bring in more characteristic Macao cultural tourism projects and promote Hengqin's preferential policies to young Macao entrepreneurs.
The International Cultural & Food Festival has been held in Macao for 12 years. It established a sublocation in Hengqin for the first time in 2020. Many more cross-border conventions and conferences between Hengqin and Macao can be expected with accelerated construction of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone, according to Huang Yujie, head of the zone Livelihood Affairs Bureau.
