Travel from Guangdong controlled to contain COVID-19
Any person intending to leave Guangdong Province from Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, or Zhuhai MRT stations or coach depots, must present a green health QR code and negative nucleic acid test result taken within 72 hours of departure or forgo the trip.
Persons intending to leave Guangdong, but who had been to Guangzhou or Foshan in the previous 14 days, must present a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 48 hours. The local Command Office for COVID-19 Prevention & Control states the controls in a June 7 public notice.
Anyone who misses a trip because they cannot present a negative nucleic acid test result can apply for a ticket change or refund in line with relevant policies.
Guangdong reported 7 new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases Tuesday, all in Guangzhou. In addition, one previously identified asymptomatic carrier in Guangzhou became confirmed.
As of June 8, Guangdong had identified 2,573 confirmed cases (1,056 imported), and 164 patients are now hospitalized.
