Popular Jinwan beach limited to set amount of visitors
The number of visitors to Feisha (Flying Sand) Beach southeast of Gaolan Port in Nanshui Town, Jinwan District was capped at 2,000 daily beginning May 3. Reservations are required and must be made in advance at 756-7710000, 7710298, or 7710168.
After being closed for two years, Feisha Beach reopened for the May Day holiday. The popular bathing spot is about 600 m long and 200 m wide and noted for soft sand, crystal clear blue water, dense subtropical plants, mountain trails, barbeque areas, Lingnan architecture, and Matsu statue and ancient temple.
To avoid crowded areas, staff will post notices at main roads leading to the entrance when visitor volume approaches the ceiling. People will be instructed to return when space does not permit.
Visitors should prepare their health QR code in advance and cooperate with body temperature measurement at the entrance. Those with fever or other suspicious symptoms will be sent to a quarantine area and attended by medical staff.
It is suggested that visitors take Buses K8 or 605 to Zhuhai Port (珠海港), transfer to 706 and get off at the beach (飞沙滩) as limited parking spaces quickly fill up.
