Huawei supports Zhuhai as intelligent vision demo city
The Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) will be cultivated as a "global intelligent vision innovation demonstration city" under a strategic cooperation agreement signed with Huawei Technologies on March 29.
Plaques for the Huawei-Zhuhai Intelligent Vision Joint Innovation Center and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intelligent Vision Industry Alliance were unveiled during the 2021 Zhuhai Summit on Intelligent Vision Industry & The Huawei Machine Vision Product Release Conference.
Up next, a base for R&D and manufacturing and a talent cultivation base will also be built in Zhuhai to boost the industrial agglomeration of intelligent vision in Zhuhai, Peng Zhongyang, president of Huawei Enterprise BG (Business Group), announced during the event.

One of the first National Pilot "Smart" Cities, Zhuhai formulated an action plan in 2017. The modernized special economic zone plans to become a new-type infrastructure benchmark city in the Greater Bay Area with accelerated construction of the Deepened Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Zone, said Guo Yonghang, Party secretary of Zhuhai.
Gou called upon the attendees to keep a close eye on, support, and invest in Zhuhai for further development of the intelligent vision industry and greater breakthroughs in Smart City Construction.
As a start, five enterprises signed settlement agreements that day. They include Beijing Boostiv Technology, Qingdao Yisa Data Technology, Shanghai Sailing Information Technology, Lantogis Ecological Technology Group, and Guangzhou Gosuncn Technology Group.
The Intelligent Vision White Book of the National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone was also released. Gao Wen of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Tang Tao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences delivered keynote speeches.
