Zhuhai Gree Group signed a management agreement with InterContinental Hotels Group on March 22 to incorporate Hotel Indigo into the Zhuhai Fitness-for-All Complex being constructed near the Sports Center in New Xiangzhou.

The IHG hotel is to open with 200 guestrooms by the second half of 2023. It is to retain the high-end positioning of 125 "trendy and chic" Indigo Hotels, mostly located in cities brimming with non-stop events and cultural and historical centers, and another 104 "in the pipeline."

The Fitness-for-All Complex will also bring in sports, catering, entertainment, and service brands new to Zhuhai. There will be electronic sports, pan-entertainment life experiences, immersive cosplay of counter strike (CS), and retailors of smart wearable sport devices. It will have functional zones for fitness, hotel-styled office areas, and space for cultural and sports enterprises.

Envisioned by 2023 is a surreal commercial "aircraft carrier" themed on sports culture, a Sport Plus vibrant center, an exhibition window for urban leisure culture, sports industry incubation, and vibrant landmark for leisure activities, all of which will reinforce Zhuhai's image as a City of Youth & Vigor.

Zhuhai Gerui Construction & Development, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhuhai Gree Group Construction commenced construction Oct 28. Work on support piles for the foundation pit has been completed, and construction of the pile foundation and mountain slope is underway.

With floorage of 200,000 sqm (49 acres), the complex occupies 25,000 sqm (6 acres) at the intersection of West Meihua and Jianmin roads, and northwest of the Zhuhai Sports Center.
