A sports-oriented center to serve 50,000 residents will be built in Jinding Town of the National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan). Named Jingzhu West Neighborhood Center, it is one of 10 such developments in the works.

The site west of the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and east of East Jinding Road was recently approved by the Zhuhai Natural Resources Bureau. It will offer one-stop rental, work, and community facilities to those residing within a radius of 1,000 m (almost 2/3 mile).

Covering 20,000 sqm (5 acres), the preliminary layout is for a 5,000-sqm (1.24-acre) sports park, farmers market, post office, restaurants, retail stores, educational institutions, nursing institution for the physically challenged, recycling site of renewable resources, as well as health clinic, civic art, neighborhood management, and comprehensive family service centers. 

Residents could easily access the facilities as the project is connected to the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway in the north and Gangwan Avenue to the south. Those living in nearby Shangce Community will reach the neighborhood center via East Jinding Road.

Zhuhai Hi-Tech Construction Investment intends to develop nine other centers to serve residential communities, industrial parks, and plants in Tangjiawan. Houhuan and Yinkeng neighborhood centers, for instance, are to be completed next year.

The neighborhood centers will be customized for those living in the vicinity. For instance, Jingzhu West Neighborhood Center will have sport elements while Gongye (Industry) Neighborhood Center will focus on living facilities for workers.
