No U-turns for Lanpu Road motorists bound for tunnels
Motorists entering South Yingbin Road from Lanpu Road are prohibited, from now on, from cutting across lanes to make U-turns to travel north through Banzhang Mt tunnels. The lane changes were snarling traffic exiting the tunnels and causing accidents.
As of Feb 28, lines on South Yingbin were repainted with solid (no-crossing) stripes on the Lanpu Road side but dashes on the other side to allow passing in but not out. Zhuhai Traffic Police also have had electronic monitors installed. Violators are being fined 200 yuan ($31) and losing three points from their driver's license.

Until now, many drivers turned right onto South Yingbin, crossed multiple lanes, and then made U-turns at the median or the intersection with Jiuzhou Avenue.
Now motorists from Lanpu Road bound to Xiangzhou or Jida should use Guihua Road and Jiuzhou Avenue. Those mistakenly using South Yingbin Road can only go straight or turn right, and then turn around at the Imperial Garden residential community or under the Qianshan Bridge.
In the meantime, drivers of vehicles southbound from Ningxi and North Yingbin roads should choose a suitable route before passing through Banzhang Mt. Those bound for Gongbei and Jida are advised to use the old tunnel, while those heading to the west wing, Nanping, and Wanzai should take the new tunnel.
