The Zhuhai Command Center for COVID-19 Prevention & Control advises residents to avoid unnecessary travel outside the city, and to not hold mass gatherings during the Spring Festival holiday.

Furthermore, companies should conduct large conferences online, and cancel large celebrations, dinner parties, and trainings. Workers, students, and teachers are encouraged to remain in Zhuhai and avoid medium- and high-risk areas from Feb 11 to 17.

Families, meanwhile, are asked to limit reunion dinners to fewer than 10 persons and keep wedding/funeral attendees under 150. Residents are also advised to maintain good air flow at home, maintain personal hygiene, and frequently wash hands.

Public spaces, transport hubs, and service and religious institutions are to strengthen exit and entry controls and ensure ongoing ventilation and disinfection. Visitors should wear facial masks, have body temperatures taken, and present health QR codes.  

The command center also states that tourist attractions must prioritize online reservations and promote off-peak travel. The number of visitors to scenic spots should be capped at 75 percent of maximum capacity or seating.

Contacts and arrival times of restaurant and hotel customers may be recorded. Restaurants self-service orders will be encouraged and disposable chopsticks and spoons used. Diners should wear masks and social distance while waiting.

In addition, public transport will register passenger information, measure body temperatures, and control occupancy rates. Inbound passengers will undergo nucleic acid tests, 14 days of centralized quarantine, and seven days of home-based quarantine. Imported and cold-chain commodities are subject to entire-process management of nucleic acid testing, package disinfection, and source traceability.

Local health institutions, private-run outpatient departments, clinics, and drug stores will report patients with fever, dry cough, and sore throat, and transfer symptomatic individuals for timely screening and quarantine.
