The time to drive between Tangjia Town and New Xiangzhou will be cut from 30 to 15 minutes by the end of this year when the west line of Xingye Express Road's north section opens between Hagongda/East Jintang and North Yingbin roads.

The north section of Xingye Express Road has two dual four-lane routes with a designed speed of 60 kmph (37 mph). The west line runs from Hagongda Road and passes over East Jintang Road, while the east line goes from Tangle Road and then through the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University and Jishan Village.

Both lines will cross Fenghuang Mt via a Y-shaped structure. Past the merger, the dual six-lane highway will pass Dajingshan Community Park and dip beneath Meihua Road to connect with Xingye Road's south section.

Of note, ramps at the tunnel section near Dajingshan Community Park will lead to Xingye Road's Yingbin feeder and then North Yingbin Road. Once the north section and feeder open, motorists will exit/enter the express road via Hagongda, East Jintang, Baipu, Meihua, and North Yingbin roads, and Gangwan Avenue.

In the meantime, the south section will open to traffic in September using a tunnel beneath East Renmin Road. From East Meihua Road, the dual six-lane south section will cross Banzhang Mt via Shijing Mt Tunnel, pass over Bailian Road and Jiuzhou Avenue and connect to First Jianye Road in Jida. The speed limit is set at 60 kmph.

Exit-entry ramps of the section will be built near Dantian Square and west of the Zhuhai Women's & Children's Hospital on Xingye Road, south of Number 5 Middle School on First Xiangning Street, and on Bailian Road.

By 2022 the entire express road will facilitate north-south downtown traffic and improve access to both the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
