Gree, Huafa, Ninestar help enrich city's real economy
Gree Electric Appliances, Huafa Group, and Ninestar Corp were major forces propelling the high-quality development of Zhuhai's real economy, according to the 2020 Top 100 Zhuhai Enterprises list.
Eighteen local companies recorded operating revenue of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.5 billion) in 2019, the Zhuhai Enterprise & Entrepreneur Federation announced Dec 29. Others in the Top 10 are Sinopec Guangdong Zhuhai Petroleum Branch, Zhuhai Huafa Commence & Trade Services Holdings, Gree Electric Enterprise, Huafa Industrial Share, Xiaomi Tech, Landa Compressor, and MTU.
All entries recorded at least 1 billion yuan ($153 million) in 2019 revenue, and 16 are listed on the Shanghai or Hong Kong stock exchanges.

Rankings of the leading 100 private, manufacturing, and service enterprises were also released the same day, as was a bluebook on the development of Zhuhai enterprises. The top 100 are intended as benchmarks for local small and medium-sized enterprises, according to Zhuang Daquan, executive chairman of the Zhuhai Enterprise & Entrepreneur Federation.
The federation will next orchestrate exchanges between the top 100 enterprises and with leading enterprises in other Greater Bay Area cities, added Zhuang.
Tang Shiqi, professor at Beijing Normal University Zhuhai Campus, discussed innovative corporate management with 200 attendees of the Enterprise Innovation Forum from the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan companies.
Chen Xiaojun, executive chairman of the Zhuhai Private Economic Development Institute, delivered a report on the development of the Zhuhai top 100 enterprises. The document examines the development environment of local enterprises and their characteristics.
