Cornerstones were laid Nov 26 for two separate printed circuit board (PCB) projects, each expected to generate annual output value of 800 million yuan ($122 million), at Fushan Industrial Park in Doumen District.

One of them, Zhuhai Fusheng Electronics, entails an investment of 600 million yuan ($91 million). It will engage in the R&D and production of high-precision PCBs and flexible printed circuits. The site will become the domestic headquarters of Shenzhen Fusheng Electronics by next year.

Founded in 2004, Shenzhen Fusheng Electronics produces high-precision double-sided and multi-layer circuit boards for medical electronics, aerospace, and digital communications sectors. It has customers across China, Europe, the US, Japan, and South Korea.

The enterprise has TS16949, ISO9001, and ISO14000 certifications. Fusheng's electroless gold plating technology, jointly developed with Shenzhen TsaSun Metal and Huazhong University of Science & Technology, has attained a world leading level.

The other project, by Zhuhai Songbai Science & Technology, will cost 420 million yuan ($64 million) and cover 25 mu (1.7 hectares, 4 acres). Songbai will research, develop, and produce new-type environmentally friendly and energy-efficient PCB products, photoresist for 5G chips, and "intelligent" PCB equipment.

Work at the site commenced in September and construction is to be completed by August 2021. It will be the largest manufacturing base of PCB associated products in South China starting in October 2021.

The parent company, Shenzhen Songbai Industrial Development, was founded in 2002. It focuses on the R&D, production, technical support, service, and optimization of PCB potions, new electronic information materials, new-material "intelligent" equipment, and 5G products. Its products reportedly are safer, and more environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, and refined than traditional ones.

The hi-tech enterprise owns numerous patented technologies. It is among the top 100 Chinese electronic circuit enterprises and 11th in PCB chemicals nationwide.

Together, the two new projects cost more than 1 billion yuan ($152 million) and cover land area of 47 mu (3 hectares, 7.7 acres).

Envisioned as the world's largest PCB base with output value of 100 billion yuan ($15 billion), Fushan Industrial Park is home to a great number of projects invested by China Eagle Electronic Technology, Sun & Lynn Circuits, Sunshine Global Circuits, Longyu Science & Technology, and Victory Giant Technology.
