Gongbei Customs approved the application upon information verification, and contacted Guangzhou Customs to confirm cancellation of the former customs code. The system automatically generateed a new registration certificate.
This is the first relocation application processed by Gongbei Customs via the China International Trade Single Window. Previously, foreign trade enterprises applied for cancellation at the customs of its original site, and then went through registration at the customs of its new site.
The Single Window is an international trade facilitation advocated by the United Nations that was implemented in China in 2016. Since then China has been streamlining cargo clearance to smooth foreign trade and improve the business environment. Single Window enables companies to complete administrative procedures for foreign trade at a single location rather than with multiple agencies. Cargo clearance is also faster and more economical.
