A graphene paint that turns walls into environmentally friendly heaters was the key topic for Zhuhai Ramtoss New Materials Technology during a summit Oct 21 at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center in Shizimen.

The liquid graphene stealth heating system reportedly is easy to apply above pre-installed electric wiring. "After the warm coating liquid graphene invisible heating system is energized and heated, the graphene material is transferred to the outside in the form of far infrared rays," says Ramtoss on its website. "It's like basking in the sun, having both heating and physical therapy." 

Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms and the world's most efficient electrical conductor. It also has high thermal conductivity and is used to dissipate heat from electronic circuits.

The 2020 Graphene Electrothermal Technology Development Summit was organized by Ramtoss and Guangdong NewPearl Ceramics Group of Foshan. Chen Haowen, founder of Zhuhai Ramtoss, described breakthroughs in technology R&D, production, design, brand operation, and sales of graphene electric heating. Its products provide scientific energy saving, clean environmental protection, health, and comfort.

Ramtoss is located in Nanping Science & Technology Park. In July, it was announced that a new Ramtoss R&D center and production workshop was under construction in Zhuhai where it already has joint laboratories and home experience venues for heating systems along with others in Foshan, Langfang, and Harbin.

The development prospects of graphene electrothermal technology were discussed by executives, professors, and researchers. For instance, Li Qiong of the School of Architecture of South China University of Technology said China's graphene industry has reached an internationally leading level, and excellent products can enable enterprises to take the initiative during fierce market competition.

Others cited cutting-edge technologies in the context of the national policies in new-energy and new-type heating supply sectors and the status of graphene electric heating systems.

Numerous outstanding scientific researchers and patents have emerged in the domestic graphene electrothermal coating sector in recent years, said Yu Haibin of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology & Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). 

Yu said consumers favor environmental protection, functionality, and the decorative values of electrothermal products. Their demands will advance R&D and innovation lead to in-depth development of the industry, he added.

Also among the participants were Zhuhai Carbon Composite Poly from the same location as Ramtoss, Guangdong Monalisa Tiles, Nature Home (China), and Foshan S-versail Ceramics.
