A 170 million yuan ($24 million) Zhuhai Grain Logistics Trading Center will be constructed northeast of Jiexi Road and northwest of Tangdong Road in Qianshan, Xiangzhou District.

Zhuhai Grain Group and Jian'an Group signed an agreement Aug 12 to build a five-story Class-C warehouse, two four-story Class-C plants, nine-story complex of offices and dormitories, underground equipment room, and parking lot for 93 vehicles. Construction will be completed in April 2022.

One of the city's key livelihood projects, it will occupy 25,015 sq m (6 acres) and have 50,030 sq m (12 acres) of floor area aboveground and 5,119 sq m (1 acre) underground.

Once operational, the trading center will elevate the level of Zhuhai's modern grain logistics science and technology, increase efficiency and lower the cost of grain circulation, and help ensure national grain security.
