Gree Electric Appliances of Zhuhai is rated 436th in this year's Global 500 list, which was published in Fortune magazine Aug 10.

The American magazine ranks the world's top 500 enterprises annually based on revenue and net profit. Global 500 is regarded as the most prestigious and authoritative grading of the world's largest listed companies and is used to comprehend development trends of the leading firms.

Located in Qianshan of Xiangzhou District, Gree began as a household air conditioner producer and in recent years expanded into hi-tech industries such as intelligent equipment, communication devices, and molds. Gree products are sold in more than 160 countries and regions. Placed 414th in 2019, Gree became the first Zhuhai enterprise to make the Global 500 list, building the quality reputation of Chinese-made products.

Twenty other enterprises in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are on the 2020 list. Among them are Ping An Insurance, Huawei Investment & Holding, Amer International Group, China Southern Power Grid, Country Garden Holdings, China Evergrande Group, China Merchants Bank, Tencent Holdings, Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group, and Shenzhen Investment Holdings.
