Zhuhai Microfountain is a 2020 "New Infrastructure" Industry Unicorn Top 100 selected by multiple prestigious domestic media outlets and investment institutions including The Founder, I Dark Horse, Securities Daily, and Sina Finance.

The list was released June 30 at the 2020 "New Infrastructure" Industry-City Trading Conference. In making the selections, investors, industrial experts, and media who reviewed online voting and more than 700 enterprises for sci-tech strength plus investment, growth, and leading values.

Microfountain is headquartered in the Lanpu community of Gongbei in Xiangzhou District. The artificial-intelligence company provides semantic analysis technology and application. It is the first scenario short-message service (SMS) platform operator in the world with a complete product portfolio of "smart" message, rich communication suite (RCS), and fast app. 

With branches in Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, Microfountain has more than 200 staff in all. Its core team comes from such Internet companies as Baidu, Ali, Tencent, Huawei, and Kingsoft and has considerable experience in technology R&D and product operation.

Through in-depth partnership with Huawei, Xiaomi, and Meizu, Microfountain has covered more than 1.1 billion cellphones and over 30,000 customers. They include hundreds of industrial heavyweights such as State Grid Corp of China, Ping An Insurance (Group) of China, China Mobile, and Alibaba Group. It also cooperates with national SMS operators of countries along the Belt & Road.

The enterprise was selected into the Zhuhai Unicorn Cultivation Repository in 2018. It is active in RCS R&D and standard compilation, has opened RCS engine sources to other developers, and established RCS open-source communities and 2G/4G/5G comprehensive message management platforms.
