De Yue Fang Seafood Restaurant
De Yue Fang is a high-grade concrete pagoda ship-shaped restaurant that for decades has been a Zhuhai landmark and favorite dining experience for Cantonese cuisine. It appears to be floating on the waters in the bay off Yeli Island.
With floorage of 8,000 sq m (9,568 sq yd), the restaurant can accommodate 1,500 diners at the same time. Its 2,000-sq-m (2,392-sq-yd) banquet hall has more than 60 compartments with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow guests to admire the picturesque scenery of Xianglu Bay, nearby Zhuhai Opera House, and urban areas of Old Xiangzhou along Central Lovers Avenue.
The restaurant is renowned for Cantonese cuisine. Its signature Romantic Oyster took the crown at the 1st Top 10 Famous Cuisines Competition in Zhuhai in 2002. Others of its chef's dishes include Abalone & Sea Cucumber in Pumpkin, and Bitter Gourd & Abalone.
